Keyboard 103 : Pattern of Chords 1

After found this site I understand some chord pattern now. After the previous topic about keyboard learning in keyboard 101 and keyboard 102, I’ll share another post about it — about pattern of chords in keyboard/piano-lookalike.

I’ll give sample for C chord then you can modify it into another pattern of chords based on my previous post.

Major (…M)

1 – 3 – 5

Major 7 (…M7)

1 – 3 – 5 – 7

7 or dominant (…7)

1 – 3 – 5 – b7

Minor (…m)

1 – b3 – 5

Minor 7 (…m7)

1 – b3 – 5 – b7

Diminished (…dim)

1 – 3 – 5 – 7

Augmented (…aug)

1 – b3 – b5

Suspended (…sus)

1 – #3 – 5

# (…#) – Just like what it called. # all tones

#1 – #3 – #5

b (…b) – Just like what it called. b all tones. And you’ll understand why you see some #chords mean same with b

b1 – b3 – b5
